Multi award winning HD production by Idaho Public Television, presents Kevin Kirk and Onomatopoeia In Concert.
“Practically unboxable, rhythmically diverse and eminently listenable” are comments that have all been applied
to the music pouring from the stage into the souls of the audience when Kevin Kirk & Onomatopoeia perform.
Onomatopoeia, in addition to Kirk at the piano, includes a group of virtuoso musicians, each with an individually
strong musical background–Tom Tompkins, Mike Seifrit, Jon Hyneman, Pat Hyneman and Greg Perkins. Together they
serve up their own high-energy jazz. Their all-original compositions keep feet tapping long after the program is
over. Current members and alumni of the Boise Youth Philharmonic (Treasure Valley Youth Symphony) add a symphonic
component to the concert. This extraordinary production was picked up by the network and has been broadcast nationally
and internationally. The show was filmed before a sold-out audience at Idaho’s historic Egyptian Theatre.
